Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

PRİSMA YAZILIM LTD ŞTİ operates Phone Location Tracker via GPS (FindLoc) and findlocation.net. This policy describes the personal data handled by our app and website. The app helps people share their own location with people they authorize. A phone number alone does not grant permission to track someone.

This policy explains our practices; reading it or continuing to use the app does not replace a separate consent request or an operating-system permission.

2. Data we handle and why

• Account and sharing information: your phone number, device identifier, account authentication token, and phone numbers used to grant or check location-sharing permission. These support account access, device association, and authorized sharing.
• Location and history: precise or approximate coordinates, timestamps, and location-related measurements such as accuracy and movement information. We use these to display locations and location history and operate arrival/departure alerts.
• Saved places: place names or identifiers, coordinates, radius, and entry/exit events used for location alerts.
• Device status: battery level and charging information, and normal/silent/vibrate ringer mode, used to display device status with shared locations. Ringer mode is not an audio or microphone recording.
• Notifications: push subscription identifiers, notification permission preferences, and language settings, used to deliver notifications.
• Purchase information: subscription products, entitlement status, and purchase/transaction information handled through the app store and RevenueCat. We also send subscription information, your phone number, and IP address to our service to associate premium access with your account. The app does not collect your payment card details.
• Technical information: IP address, device and app information, usage events, and crash diagnostics, used to operate the service, understand usage, and diagnose failures.
• Support requests: information you choose to send us, such as an email address, account phone number, and the contents of a support or deletion request.

3. Location sharing and background access

When you enable location sharing and grant the necessary permissions, FindLoc collects and uploads location data to our servers to share your location with people you authorize, display location history, and support arrival and departure alerts for saved places. Location data is associated with your account; it is not anonymous simply because it is displayed on a map.

Background location sharing can continue when the app is closed or not in use and can resume after a device restart, subject to operating-system permissions and restrictions. Battery and ringer status may accompany location updates.

People you authorize can access the location information and device status made available through the sharing features. You can remove sharing permissions in the app. To stop the app from accessing your location, revoke its location permission in your device settings. Removing permission does not itself delete previously stored history.

4. Camera and local storage

The camera is used to scan QR codes for the sharing workflow. The app processes the scanned code; it does not provide a photo-gallery upload feature or upload camera frames as a photo collection feature.

The app stores account tokens, phone numbers, preferences, and sharing-related settings on your device. The location component may temporarily queue location records on the device for transmission. These are app storage functions, not browser advertising cookies.

5. Service providers and other recipients

Our servers and the services below process information needed for their respective functions:

• Google Maps and Google Play services: map display and platform functionality. Google Privacy Policy.
• Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics: usage measurement and crash diagnostics, including app/device information. Firebase privacy information.
• OneSignal: push notifications using subscription/device identifiers and notification-related settings. OneSignal Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat: subscription verification and entitlements, including purchase information, app-user identifiers and device identifiers collected by the integration. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
• OpenStreetMap Foundation / Nominatim: converting coordinates into a readable address. A lookup sends the coordinates being displayed to nominatim.openstreetmap.org; the service also receives the request's IP address. OSMF Privacy Policy.
• ipify: the app contacts api.ipify.org to obtain its public IP address. This necessarily exposes that IP address to the service. ipify service information.
• App stores: purchases and billing are processed by the store through which you purchase a subscription, under that store's terms and privacy policy.

Opening an external map or website sends the information needed for that action to the selected provider. If you email support, your message is handled through email services. Providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable privacy terms.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or as necessary to protect users and address fraud or misuse. We do not sell personal data. This policy does not authorize unrelated advertising or marketing use of your location.

6. Retention and deletion

Location records older than 30 days are deleted from our servers. Other account information is kept to provide your account and associated services until you request deletion, subject to any retention required by applicable law.

You can request permanent deletion using the app's “Delete my data” option or through our account deletion page. You may also email info@findlocation.net with the phone number associated with your account. We may need to verify that you control the account before acting on a request. You do not have to provide a reason.

Account deletion permanently removes your account and associated data from our service; it is not merely account deactivation. If particular records must be retained to meet a legal obligation, their purpose and applicable retention will be explained when responding to the request. App-store transaction records are subject to the store's own retention requirements.

Deleting the app alone does not delete your server account. Deleting your FindLoc account does not itself cancel an app-store subscription; manage that subscription separately through the store.

7. Security and your choices

The app communicates with our API and the external services described above over HTTPS. No transmission or storage method can guarantee absolute security. Keep your device and account information secure.

You can change location, camera, and notification permissions in device settings. Denying a permission prevents the associated feature from operating. Contact info@findlocation.net to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data, or to raise a privacy concern. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, obtain a copy of your data, or complain to a data protection authority. Withdrawing permission does not retroactively undo earlier processing.

8. Eligibility and age

FindLoc is intended for users aged 13 and above. Users under 18 must use the service with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Where local law requires a higher age or additional parental authorization for data processing, those requirements also apply.

The service is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data, contact info@findlocation.net so we can investigate and delete the associated account and data. Guardian permission does not permit covert tracking or bypassing device permissions.

9. Changes and contact
